Sarangi is an instrument that started in India; the name was from the bow of Lord Vishnu. A Sarangi is shaped as a short-necked string instrument, which they say is used in Punjabi Folk, Boro Folk, and Rajasthani Folk Music. The famous sarangi player is Ustad Sultan Khan, according to google he is known for his melodic capabilities and control.
